Into Darkness Into Light 

As I approach The One in holy fear 
Into the thick, impenetrable darkness 
I remarked not in despair, as enveloped here 
Will I be consumed into Unknowingness?

I was known, even seen in this darkness 
Here thoughts delighted in me before being seen by another
Here, where darkness and light kissed in oneness
Only You are worthy of my worship forever 

My conception was for this one thing above all 
Into this I come, for it's here I'm formed
My carnality subsume in Your Presence as all
In my darkness, I'm penetrated to conform 

I am unworthy, undone, yet amidst this, I see 
When faced within myself amidst this scene
Into the darkness unknown is the path for me
It is here I'm blinded by all I've seen 

Where in my weakness, here I am strong
Out of this impenetrable darkness, I'll begin to shine 
When penetrated by both to all that's wrong 
A light shining out to reveal all that's mine
